  24. This is explained, clearly I hope, in the manual, "Using C-Kermit".

  26. There is no explicit command to turn this feature off and on.  It is
  27. used if PARITY is not NONE, i.e. if it is EVEN, ODD, MARK, or SPACE.

  29. If PARITY is NONE, it is not used.

  31. Note that Kermit will detect EVEN, ODD, or MARK parity automatically,
  32. and will use 8th-bit prefixing (and/or locking shifts) if it is
  33. detected, as it must do in order to transmit 8-bit data through a
  34. 7-bit channel.

  36. Also note that the current version of C-Kermit is 5A(190).
